To accommodate upcoming shoring activities for the new Cedarvale LRT Station, crews will be relocating and installing new traffic poles and signal equipment along Eglinton Avenue West from Everden Road to Allen Road North.

Upcoming Deep Excavation Works and Traffic Changes at Cedarvale Station
What Work is Taking Place?
As early as January 2019, deep excavation work will get underway to prepare for underpinning TTC’s Line 1 subway box and construction of the new Cedarvale LRT station. Over the course of the year, spoils from the excavation will be extracted and hauled from various sites along Eglinton Avenue from Park Hill Road to Strathearn Road. A new traffic configuration will also be implemented to accommodate ongoing shoring activities.

To accommodate the installation of tie-rods on the north side of Eglinton Avenue west of Allen Road South, crews will be restricting the curbside westbound lane on Eglinton Avenue West from Allen Road South to Park Hill Road.

What Work is Happening?
To accommodate the installation of overhead hydro poles, crews will be accessing a Toronto Hydro cable chamber on Eglinton Avenue West. In order to safely access the chamber and carry out the work, the curbside eastbound lane on Eglinton Avenue West from west of Winnett Avenue to Allen Road South will be closed temporarily.
