Allen Road Area – Sidewalk Detours
From Monday, July 21, 2014 onwards, pedestrian access to Eglinton West Station will be re-routed to facilitate the construction of the extraction shaft in the vicinity of the southbound Allen Road Ramp.

Launch Shaft Welding Overnight Work at Allen Road until end of Summer 2014
The Eglinton Crosstown is a transit project that will provide rapid and reliable service across Eglinton Avenue. It includes an underground central section from Keele Street to Laird Drive, bring transit service that will be up to 60% faster than bus service today.
What work is starting?
What: Crews will conduct overnight welding work at the launch shaft at Allen Road. During the day, crews will be building and installing a road deck for a future traffic shift for the continuing work of the launch shaft. Lire la suite »

The Eglinton Crosstown is a 19 kilometre light rail transit (LRT) line that will run along Eglinton Avenue through the heart of Toronto, with an underground central section. The line will connect Mount Dennis in the west to Kennedy Road in the east, and the new service will be up to 60% faster than bus service today.

Construction Update for June 2014
Utility relocation and headwall construction along Eglinton Avenue West between Caledonia and the Allen Road area began in March 2013. Many works along the road have been completed and other on-going works are progressing well. The Crosstown Team appreciates the patience of our neighbours while we build transit.
