Trailer Move at Caledonia Station

What work is taking place?

On August 22 and 23, crews will relocate a trailer at the Caledonia Station site to continue deep excavation.  Short-term lane reductions will be in effect.  Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Tower Crane Erection at Caledonia Station

What Work is Taking Place?

On Saturday, May 27, a tower crane will be delivered to Caledonia Station in advance of deep excavation works.  Delivery and set-up with take two days to complete.  Lane closures will be in effect between Gabian Way and Croham Drive to accommodate this work.

 

Timing

• Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Water and Sewer Connections at Caledonia Station

What Work is Taking Place?

Beginning May 29, 2017, crews will perform temporary water and sewer service connections to the Caledonia Station site.  The work will be carried out in two stages.  Traffic changes will be in effect.  A traffic control person will be present to direct traffic.  Once complete, traffic will return to the existing staging. Shoring for Caledonia Station

What Work is Taking Place?

Beginning in November 2016, crews will start support of excavation work, also known as shoring, at the future Caledonia Station.  The station is located on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West between Gabian Way and Croham Road (in front of Westside Mall).  Shoring is a common step in the process of constructing the foundation of a building.  Steel piles, as well as braces and tie-backs, will be installed around the perimeter of the station box area to support excavation. Pedestrian Safety near Construction Sites

Construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT line, including 15 underground stations, is underway. Since the end of school, many construction sites have been set up for station construction and the set-up of some major intersections along Eglinton Avenue has been changed.
