Curb and Sidewalk Restoration on Gervais Drive at Eglinton Ave East

What Work is Taking Place?

Crews will be performing sidewalk, curb and road restoration works on the west side of Gervais Drive, north of Eglinton Avenue East. To accommodate these activities, a traffic change will be implemented and remain in place for approximately three (3) weeks.

What to Expect

Roadworks will include, saw cutting and concrete removals, construction of new sidewalk, curb and final paving.

Traffic Details

  • Traffic will be reduced to one southbound lane on Gervais Drive.
  • Gervais Drive will be closed to northbound traffic at Eglinton Avenue East.  
  • A closure of the Superstore Gervais driveway will be in place for approximately two weeks. Access will be maintained at the west driveway on Eglinton Avenue East as well as the two driveways on Wynford Drive.

Pedestrian Impacts

  • The pedestrian walkway will remain available on the west side of Gervais Drive.  

Hours of Work 

  • Work will begin as early as October 26, 2020 and continue for approximately three (3) weeks.
  • Work may occur from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven (7) days per week, Monday through Sunday.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Other Impacts 

  • Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be noise and vibration around the work area.
