Avenue Station Secondary Entrance Sound Wall

What Work is Happening?
Starting as early as Friday, August 11, work will begin to construct a sound barrier wall at the north side of the secondary entrance. This wall is engineered for maximum sound reduction and will be in place until construction of the station nears completion.

Overnight Preparatory Works for Sewer Lining at Avenue Station
In advance of upcoming mining works at Avenue Station, crews must install sewer linings to the existing sewer infrastructure in the vicinity of the station on Eglinton Avenue West between Braemar Avenue and Lascelles Boulevard. Work also includes one location at Avenue Road and Burnaby Boulevard, as well as one location on Highbourne Road and one on Oriole Parkway. Lire la suite »
Tree Removal at Chaplin Station Main Entrance Site
In early 2016, trees and shrubs in the former Chaplin Parkette were cleared to make way for station construction.
An additional tree, located in the Main Entrance area, is required for removal as early as the week of August 7.
Upon completion of station construction, new trees will be planted forming the new Chaplin Parkette.

Shoring and Utility Work in the Roadway at Mount Pleasant Station

What Work is Taking Place?
In June 2017, crews began shoring of the station box in the roadway, starting on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East.
Shoring is a common step in the process of constructing the foundation of a building. Steel piles, as well as braces and tie-backs, will be installed around the perimeter of the station box to support excavation. Lire la suite »
Update: Gas Main Support at Laird Station
To prepare for upcoming mining operations at Laird Station, micro piles will be drilled to the north of the Laird Station Secondary entrance. Micro piles will support local gas mains during mining.

Overnight Watermain Investigations near Avenue Station
What Work is Happening?
To prepare for upcoming mining works at Avenue Station, a careful inspection of watermains in the area is required.
Crews will complete water leakage detection for the watermains in the vicinity of the future station box. The scope of work includes testing watermains and associated fittings on Eglinton Avenue West between Avenue Road and Lascelles Blvd. Lire la suite »
Cedarvale Station: Road Closures for Utility Relocation & Support of Excavation
What Work is Taking Place?
In June 2017, the Cedarvale Station work zones are now in full swing as crews complete tunnel concrete pours, utility relocation, and support of excavation activities.
To continue to relocate and upgrade storm and sanitary sewer infrastructure and complete support of excavation, traffic changes in the vicinity of Cedarvale Station are required.

Storm Sewer Connection in Cedarvale Park
What Work is Taking Place?
In preparation for the construction of Cedarvale Station, several storm and sanitary sewers must be reconfigured prior to the commencement of the support of excavation works. As part of one of these relocations, an existing connection must be enabled in one of the storm sewers at Cedarvale Park.
Crews will occupy a small portion of the park in the vicinity of an existing manhole (see picture below) in order to conduct the works.
