Overnight Utility Relocation on Transway Crescent and Kennedy Road in Support of Construction of the Future Kennedy Station
What Work is Taking Place?
As part of construction of the future Kennedy Station, crews will be relocating watermain and sanitary utilities on Transway Crescent, including a partial crossing of Kennedy Road, starting as soon as April 9, 2018. To reduce impacts to the community and commuters this work will be performed overnight and will take approximately two weeks to complete. The work is part of the larger upgrade and relocation of utilities for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. Lire la suite »
Upcoming Parking Reduction at Kennedy Station in April 2018
As part of construction of the future Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (ECLRT), improvements are also being made to the GO Corridor Stouffville Line at Kennedy Station. These include building a new west platform, rebuilding the existing east platform, constructing a new ticketing building for the GO Station, and building a new south pedestrian underpass.
In order to facilitate these improvements, roughly 113 parking spaces at the South Parking Lot will be removed so that the work can be undertaken in a safe manner. Lire la suite »
Geotechnical Instrumentation Installations and Monitoring between West of Midland and Kennedy Road
What Work is Taking Place?
As part of the ongoing construction works for the future Kennedy Station, installation of above ground and in-ground monitoring points will take place in the vicinity of Eglinton Avenue and Kennedy Road. Monitoring evaluates the impact of construction works and monitoring points are located on Eglinton Avenue from Kennedy Rd to Eglinton Overpass just west of Midland Avenue. Lire la suite »

We are working steadily in the east on the Eglinton Crosstown. In early April, there will be drilling in the middle of the roadway (Eglinton Avenue East), as crews begin the support of excavation work (shoring) to construct a tunnel to the new Kennedy Station. Lire la suite »
