What Work is Taking Place?

Kennedy Station and its environs are changing every day.

As part of GO Transit Improvements at Kennedy, crews will close a southern portion of the existing east platform on the Stouffville Line as early as Monday, February 19, 2018 to facilitate shoring for the GO underpass, the construction of a new pedestrian underpass, and the shoring for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT Box under the GO corridor. The construction liaison committee meeting of stops and station between Pharmacy and Kennedy was held on January 30, 2018. You can see the presentation here:

Kennedy Station will be the terminal station at the eastern end of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT line. Kennedy Station is an interchange station with connections to the GO Transit Stouffville Line, the TTC Scarborough RT, the TTC Bloor-Danforth subway, and a TTC bus terminal. Construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT Kennedy Station will include upgrades to the existing Kennedy Station infrastructure.

What Work is Taking Place?

Crews will begin the relocation and upgrading of an existing watermain on the north and south sides of Eglinton Avenue East, the North Service Road and the South Service Road from Kennedy Road to approximately west of Midland Avenue. In an effort to minimize disruption to local traffic and commuters, work will be performed in stages.   Lire la suite »
