What Work is Taking Place?

The East Don River and Wynford Drive Bridges are currently being rehabilitated as part of the construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. Works include deck replacement, reinforcement and repairs to the abutments and beams to both bridges.

To facilitate the safe and timely delivery of steel plates for girders to the construction sites for the East Don River Bridge, starting as early as Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 11 AM. Traffic interruptions can be expected while this delivery takes place.

Timing

  • Delivery will be on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from approximately 11 AM to 2 PM.
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.

What to Expect

  • Road users can expect delays when travelling through the work zone.
  • As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.

Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

  • Major traffic interruptions can be expected while trucks enter and exit the work zone.
  • Lane closures are required to safely conduct the work.
  • A minimum of one through lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained.
  • Access to affected businesses and properties will be maintained.
  • No obstruction to TTC services.
  • Pedestrian access to sidewalks will be maintained at all times.
  • As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
