What to Expect

To minimize traffic disruption crews will work overnight for approximately three nights, beginning on Friday, November 11, 2016. Lane reductions will be in effect each night starting at 11:00 p.m., with all lanes reopened before the next morning rush hour.

Nearby residents can expect to hear noise caused by milling machines, high pressure water trucks and other construction equipment. In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within the designated work zones.
Timing

Work is expected to begin November 11, 2016 and last for approximatley three (3) nights.

Overnight lane reductions will begin each night from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Details

Traffic will be reduced to a minimum of one lane in each direction on Eglinton Avenue East and on Don Mills Road.

Work is being performed overnight to reduce traffic disruption in the area.

Paid-Duty Police Officers will be present during some of this work.

A traffic control person will be on site to direct truck, TTC and emergency service vehicle traffic.

As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
Pedestrian Details
- The existing sidewalk closure on the north side of Eglinton Avenue East from Leslie Street to Don Mills Road and from Gervais Drive to the southbound Don Valley Parkway off ramp will remain in effect.
- The existing detour route directing pedestrians slightly south of Eglinton Avenue East from Don Mills Road to the Don Valley Parkway will remain in effect. Pedestrian detours will be clearly marked with signage directing pedestrians to the alternate routes.
