Overnight Utilities Relocations at Eglinton Avenue East and Wynford Drive 

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

Bridge rehabilitation, road widening and surface reconstruction is underway on Eglinton Avenue East crossing Wynford Drive. As part of these activities, crews will be upgrading and relocating wet utilities infrastructure crossing Eglinton Avenue East at the Wynford Bridge.

In an effort to minimize roadway disruption, work will be performed overnight beginning as early as Sunday, June 2, 2019 and will continue for two (2) weeks. Work will be performed in three traffic stages (depicted below).

TIMING 

• Work will occur overnight between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. starting as early as Sunday, June 2, 2019, and will continue for two (2) weeks.
• The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.
• Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

 WHAT TO EXPECT

• Crews will be upgrading and relocating wet utilities infrastructure crossing Eglinton Avenue East.
• Construction activities will include concrete removal, excavation, digging and paving.
• Due to the nature of this work, at times there will be noise and vibration around the work area.
• Lane reductions will be required to complete this work.  A minimum of one (1) lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.
• Pedestrians and road users can expect delays when travelling through the work zone.
