What Work is Taking Place?

In preparation for the upcoming final road restoration works, crews will perform road milling works on Eglinton Avenue East between Ferrand and Wynford Drives. This work will begin as early as Tuesday August 3, 2021, and continue through to Friday, August 6, 2021. To mitigate traffic delays, this work will take place overnight from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced, while this work takes place. What to Expect

Noise from construction activities including asphalt removals (milling) and asphalt paving. Access to all DVP ramps will be maintained for the duration of this work. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place.

Hours of Work

  • Tuesday, August 3 – Friday, August 6, 2021
  • Between 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 
  • Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances

Traffic Impacts

  • Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane only on the evenings of August 3 - August 4.
  • Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue East will be reduced to one lane only on the evenings of August 5 - August 6.
  • Periodically, eastbound and westbound lane closures may take place simultaneously as the work transitions.

Pedestrian Impacts

  • There will be no changes to pedestrian routes
  • There will be no changes to TTC stops
