Telecommunication Relocations at Wynford Bridge  

WHAT WORK IS TAKING PLACE?

In support of construction of the future Eglinton Crosstown LRT stops and guideway (dedicated transit lane), crews will be relocating telecommunications infrastructure lines crossing Eglinton Ave East at the Wynford Bridge. The work will be completed in three (3) stages, traffic configurations are depicted below, and begin as early as April 1, 2019.

 TIMING

• Work will begin as early as April 1, 2019 and continue for approximately two (2) weeks.
• This work may take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion. Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

 TRAFFIC IMPACTS

• Lane reductions will be required with a minimum of one through lane of traffic in each direction maintained.
• There may be occurrences where a shoulder is narrowed and/or a traffic protection barrier is placed to accommodate safe working conditions.
• As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.

PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

• The south sidewalk on Eglinton Avenue East will remain closed. The north sidewalk is open for pedestrians.
• The temporary crosswalk will be removed. Crossing is available at the west Don Valley Parkway intersection.
• As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.

TTC Impacts

• The eastbound TTC stops at on Eglinton Avenue East at the Wynford Bridge will remain closed as per the current traffic configuration.
