Preparatory and Early Works Activities Scheduled January-March 2016

janvier 6, 2016

Over the next few months, crews will be conducting several activities along the Eglinton Line around the Eglinton Maintenance and Storage facility and the future stations of Keele and Dufferin.

Why: Metrolinx continues to build the Eglinton Crosstown Line (Line). It is now partnering with Crosstown Transit Solutions (CTS) to design and construct the stations and stops, track work, and signaling system. To prepare for construction across the Line, CTS will conduct a number of preparatory and early works activities around each of the underground stations.

What work is starting and where?

Pre-condition survey across the Line

  • A crew will conduct pre-construction survey work along the Line, starting in the vicinity of the future Keele Station.
  • The purpose of the pre-condition survey is to record the existing condition of buildings and structures located in the construction zone. The pre-condition survey includes visual inspections of selected buildings’ walls, ceilings, floors, and foundations and taking photographs of the current conditions.
  • This work may require workers to come onto your property and where this is necessary, Crosstown Transit Solutions will request your permission, in advance.
