Enbridge Gas Distribution Line Relocation for Mount Pleasant Station: Beginning July 2016

juin 30, 2016

What Work is Taking Place?

  • Enbridge Gas Distribution (Enbridge) will be relocating natural gas pipelines at the site of the future Mount Pleasant Station.

Timing

  • Work will start July 4, 2016 and will last for approximately 10 weeks.
  • Work will occur between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m, Monday to Friday.
  • Work could be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances

What to Expect

  • To accommodate the construction of the new Eglinton Crosstown Mount Pleasant Station, Enbridge is required to relocate natural gas pipelines that currently occupy the area. These pipelines are integral to Enbridge’s gas system and must be re-routed to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to customers in the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Residents and businesses near the work site can expect to hear noise caused by trucks, excavators, backhoes, and other construction equipment related to this work.

Traffic Details

  • During construction hours, lane reductions or short-term road closures may be required. These roads will be reopened in the evening for local residents.
  • Please take care when travelling near construction areas. Watch for additional signs directing pedestrians as detours may be required.
  • Due to the current volume of traffic in this area, traffic delays are expected during construction.
  • Property access will be maintained.
  • As always, please take care when travelling near construction areas.

Thank you for your patience as we work to build this important project.

Please support your local businesses during construction.
