Traffic Reconfiguration in support of excavation works and utility relocations for the future Science Centre Station

décembre 19, 2016

What Work is Taking Place?

As part of the continued support of excavation works and utility relocations for the future Science Centre station, traffic staging at the intersection of Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East is changing. This new configuration is expected to last approximately six (6) weeks.

Once the new traffic configuration is in place, crews will continue hydro and telecommunication utility relocation work. Shoring and support of excavation work will also continue within the secondary entrance and future bus terminal site and on the south side of Eglinton Avenue, between Don Mills Road and the on-ramp to the DVP.

Hours of Work
Changes to the intersection will begin as early as 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 to paint lines, adjust traffic signals and install concrete barriers; this is expected to take two (2) days to complete. Following the two days of reconfiguration, this set up will remain in place for up to six weeks. Please note that work could be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
