Toronto Hydro Work Relocation across Yonge Street

juillet 6, 2018

What Work is Taking Place?

To prepare for the construction of Eglinton Station, crews will begin the next phase of re-routing existing hydro utilities in the vicinity of Eglinton Avenue and Yonge Street.

For this next stretch of the work, crews will be working to install new Toronto Hydro infrastructure within the City of Toronto’s public right-of-way across Yonge Street. Crews may use a hydro-vacuum truck, excavators, jack-hammer and other construction equipment to complete the work.

Work is expected to occur as early as July 12, 2018. Work may be delayed due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Work will occur in the existing work zone on Yonge Street, north of Eglinton Avenue.

Transit Information

Access to the TTC Eglinton Subway Station will be maintained. Relocation and re-routing of bus stops is done in consultation with TTC to ensure construction can continue safely while minimizing impact on the community and customers. Please watch for posted notices indicating new information.
