Concrete Removal Work at Kennedy Station

juillet 20, 2018

What Work is Taking Place?

Kennedy Station will be the terminal station at the eastern end of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT line. Kennedy Station is an interchange station with connections to the GO Transit Stouffville Line, the TTC Scarborough RT, the TTC Bloor- Danforth subway, and a TTC bus terminal. Construction of the future Kennedy Station as part of the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (ECLRT) will include upgrades to the existing Kennedy Station infrastructure.

Support of Excavation (SOE) continues at the new east and west pedestrian tunnels at Kennedy Station. The new pedestrian tunnels are located within the new main entrance being built as part of the ECLRT.

The next phase of work requires the demolition of the old concrete supports and concrete road base in preparation for the new concrete road base in the vicinity of the new main entrance.
