What Work is Taking Place?
The East Don River Bridge is being rehabilitated as part of the construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT. Works include deck replacement, reinforcement and repairs to the abutments and beams to both bridges.
Starting as early as Friday, November 30th, 2018 bridge rehabilitation works on the south side of Eglinton Avenue East will commence and take approximately six (6) months to complete. Traffic will be shifted to the north side of Eglinton Avenue East (depicted below).

- The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.
- Updates on works taking place during overnight periods will be communicated separately.

What to Expect

- No obstruction to TTC services.
- Pedestrians and road users can expect delays when travelling through the work zone.
- As always, please take care when travelling near work sites.
Traffic Impacts
