Manhole Construction for THESL Work at Keelesdale Station MARCH 18th, 2019

What work is taking place? 


Keelesdale crews are continuing work on THESL enhancement, including the creation of a new chamber east of the station box. This box will be in the center lane of Eglinton Ave W, at Keele St. There will be a new traffic set up maintaining one (1) lane in each direction, beginning as early as March 18th for approximately four (4) weeks.

Hours of work

  • The lane reductions for manhole construction is expected to begin as early as March 18th 2019, and last for approximately four (4) weeks.
  • Crews will be working from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • Occasional overnight and weekend work may be required. Notices will be updated with more detail before those works begin.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • One lane of vehicular traffic will be maintained in each direction along Eglinton Ave W.
  • Left turns onto Keele St will remain restricted for traffic travelling eastbound along Eglinton Ave W.
  • Noise from construction equipment installation can be expected.
  • In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.
  • Two TTC bus stops will be impacted due to this work. At the north side of Eglinton Ave W, a temporary stop will be setup just east of Keele St. At the south side, the existing stop at Scott Rd will be maintained.

Pedestrian Impacts

  •  All open sidewalks will be maintained during this work.
