Overnight Concrete Pour at Fairbank Station - May 30, 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

On Thursday May 30th, crews will perform a 650m3 concrete pour at Fairbank Station. The concrete will form the base of the second level concourse at the main entrance. Concrete pumps will be placed in the work zone, and concrete trucks will queue in the southbound lane of Dufferin Street between Eglinton Avenue West and Hunter Street as well as the west curb lane of Vaughan Road. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while this work takes place. 

To ensure the continuity of the pour, the pour will be conducted overnight when traffic is lighter. Crews will endeavour to minimize disruption as best as possible while this work takes place.


Hours of Work

  • Thursday May 30, 2019 beginning at 3:30am for approximately 10 hours.
  • In the event of inclement weather, this work will be rescheduled.

What to Expect
  • Overnight noise and lighting from construction activity can be expected.
Traffic Details
  • Access to properties at the intersection will be maintained.
  • The north, south, and west crosswalks at the intersection will remain open. The east crosswalk will remain closed.

TTC Impacts

  • Relocation and re-routing of bus stops and buses respectively, is done in consultation with TTC to ensure construction can continue safely while minimizing impact on the community and customers.
