Daily Lane Reduction East of Kennedy Road - December 16 to December 20, 2019

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday, December 16, 2019 one lane in each direction on Eglinton Avenue East will be restricted east of Kennedy Road to Midland Road. Work includes concrete and roof slab pours on Eglinton Avenue East.

One eastbound and one westbound lane will be maintained east of Kennedy Road for the duration of this work.

Hours of Work

• December 16 to 18 from 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. 

• December 19 from 1:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• December 20 from 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances 

What to Expect

• Eglinton Avenue East will remain open in both directions

• Nearby businesses and residents can expect noise from concrete trucks and other equipment.

• Pedestrians and road users can expect delays when traveling through work zone

• As always, please take care when travelling near work sites

Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

• One eastbound and one westbound lane will be closed east of Kennedy for the duration of this work

• A minimum of one lane of eastbound and westbound through traffic will be maintained during this work 

• Emergency services access will be maintained

TTC Impacts

• Temporary TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations.

• Relocation and re-routing of bus stops and buses is done in consultation with TTC to ensure construction can continue safely, while minimizing impact on the community and customers
