NEW DATE: Concrete Pour at Mount Pleasant Station

What Work is Taking Place? 

As early as Thursday, January 21, 2020, crews will perform a concrete pour in the northeast work zone at Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East.  The concrete will form part of the roof of Mount Pleasant Station. One concrete pump will be set up within the work zone and concrete trucks will stage on Eglinton Avenue East, within the median at Taunton Road and west of Brownlow Avenue. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place. To ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour, work will begin as early as 4:00 a.m. and take approximately fourteen (14) hours to complete.

Hours of Work

  • As early as Thursday, January 23, 2020
  • Beginning as early as 4 a.m. for approximately fourteen (14) hours.
  • In the case of inclement weather or delay, this activity will be rescheduled.

What to Expect

  • One concrete pump will be stationed inside the work zone.
  • 8+ concrete trucks are expected per hour.
  • Concrete trucks will stage on Eglinton Avenue East, within the median at Taunton Road and west of Brownlow Avenue
  • Traffic Control Personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place. 

Transit Information

  • Access to the TTC will be maintained at all times.

Travelling Smart during Construction 

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
