Update: Extended Weekly Lane Reduction at Cedarvale Station for Geotechnical Work (January to May 2020)

What Work is Taking Place? 

Since Tuesday, January 7 crews have been conducting a weekly closure of the eastbound curb lane of Eglinton Avenue West to perform geotechnical monitoring. This work will now continue until May 2020. Eglinton Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Winnett Ave and Allen Rd North every Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. through May 2020. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place. 

Hours of Work

  • Every Tuesday, beginning Tuesday, January 7, 2020 through May 2020
  • 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

What to Expect

  • Noise from construction activity can be expected
  • Park Hill, Strathearn, and Everden Roads will remain closed

Pedestrian Impacts

  • All pedestrian routes will remain the same

Traffic Impacts 

  • Eglinton Ave will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Winnett Avenue and Allen Road North
  • Motorists can expect delays when travelling through the intersection

Travelling Smart during Construction 

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
