mars 18, 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

Starting Sunday March 29, 2020, the bus loop at Eglinton West Station will be closed for approximately five (5) months while crews construct part of the roof of Cedarvale LRT Station. To construct the roof, crews must open up the area in front of Eglinton West Station. Eglinton West Station will remain open during this work, but buses will not be able to access the station’s bus loop. Temporary covered bus platforms will be constructed on the north and south sides of Eglinton Avenue West to maintain TTC bus service to-and-from Eglinton West Station. Significant changes to TTC service will be in effect. Please review the complete notice or visit www.ttc.ca for more information.

Construction of the bus platforms began on Saturday March 14, 2020. This work will continue through to Saturday March 28, 2020, from 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. daily, with the installation of hoarding and sidewalk widening on the north and south sides of Eglinton Avenue West.

The bus loop closure will close on Sunday March 29, 2020 at 2:00 a.m.  Once the closure is in place, traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., between Atlas Avenue and Park Hill Road. The bus loop closure and traffic change will be performed overnight when traffic is lighter.
