Pedestrian Bridge Installation at Eglinton West Subway Station - Thursday, March 19, 2020
What Work is Taking Place?
On Thursday, March 19, 2020, crews will start installing a temporary pedestrian bridge at TTC’s Eglinton West subway station. The bridge will lead into the main entrance of Eglinton West Station, allowing excavation work for the future Cedarvale LRT Station to continue below, while pedestrians travel safely over top.
In order to install the traffic bridge safely, pedestrians will be rerouted through the west side of Eglinton West Station. Construction of the traffic bride will begin Thursday March 19, 2020 and take approximately one (1) week to complete. Bridge construction will take place from 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
As part of this work, crews will install additional barriers and wayfinding signs to direct travellers and delineate pedestrians from the work zones. Access to Eglinton West Station will be maintained at all times. There will be no impact to the Eglinton West Station bus loop while this work takes place. For more information, please see the Work Area Map below.
