Update: Notice of Chipping at Chaplin Station Extended through April 8, 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

Chipping of a concrete pile wall between the Chaplin Station Tertiary Entrance site and the station box is currently underway.  This work is expected to be complete Wednesday April 8, 2020.  Chipping involves use of an excavator and jackhammer to remove concrete and hardened material. Chipping occurs periodically as deep excavation progresses.  Noise and vibration can be expected.

Hours of Work

  • This activity will take place between 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. until approximately April 8, 2020
  • No chipping work is expected on April 4 and 5, 2020
  • Work may be longer or shorter than expected, and may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

  • All pedestrian and traffic routes will remain the same.


Travelling Smart during Construction

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
