What Work is Taking Place?

Starting April 5, 2020, crews will be working overnight to install several dewatering wells at Chaplin Station.  The wells will be drilled underground in the station box beneath Eglinton Avenue.  The dewatering wells form part of the system that removes ground water from the excavation.  This work will take place overnight between 7:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.  During each shift, a ventilation fan will be running at surface level in the Main Entrance work zone near Gilgorm Road.

Hours of Work

  • April 5 – 7, 2020 between 7:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

  •  Some overnight noise as well as lighting can be expected
  • A ventilation fan will operate at surface level for the duration of this work

  • Traffic and pedestrian routes will be unaffected

Travelling Smart during Construction

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
