What Work is Taking Place

On Tuesday April 21, crews will perform a large concrete pour from secondary entrance and the service building of the future Fairbank Station. The concrete will the first invert slab of the future station’s track floor! Work will begin as early as 5:00am and the pour will be ongoing for approximately 12 hours. Concrete pumps will be placed within the secondary entrance workzone on the northwest corner of Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W, and in the alleyway behind the service building. In the alleyway, vehicular access will be restricted, however pedestrian access will be maintained. Concrete trucks will be staged on Dynavor Rd, south of Eglinton Ave W and on Eglinton Ave W, west of Shortt St. Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W will remain open while work takes place.

Hours of Work

  • Tuesday April 21, 2020. 
  • The concrete pour will begin as early as 5:00 a.m. and last for approximately 12 hours. The laneway behind the service building will be closed for the entire duration.
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected.
