What Work is Taking Place

On Tuesday May 5, crews will perform a concrete pour at the secondary entrance of Fairbank Station. Work will begin as early as 7:00am and the pour will be ongoing until approximately 5:00pm. The concrete will form a portion of the future station’s platform slab. Concrete pumps will be placed on Eglinton Avenue W within the secondary entrance work zone. Concrete trucks will stage south of Eglinton Avenue W on Dynevor Road. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while work takes place.

 

Hours of Work

  • Tuesday May 5, 2020. 
  • The concrete pour will begin as early as 7:00 a.m. and last for approximately ten hours.
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours, but may do so at its discretion.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected.

What to Expect

  • Concrete trucks will stage on Dynevor Rd.
  • Noise from concrete trucks can be expected.
  •  Local and pedestrian access will be maintained.
  • Property access will be maintained.
  • Expect delays while travelling near work zones.

 

Traffic Details

  • The pedestrian routes at the intersection will remain the same.
  • Access to properties along Vaughan Rd, Eglinton Ave W and Dufferin St will be maintained.
  • No impacts to TTC bus service.
