What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Tuesday, June 2, 2020, crews will perform a concrete pour within the work zone south of Eglinton West subway station. To ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour, work will begin as early as 5:30 a.m. and take approximately eight (8) hours to complete.

Two concrete pumps will be set up within the work zone. During the pour, concrete trucks will stage in the laydown area east of Allen Road South. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place.

Hours of Work

  • As early as Tuesday, June 2, 2020
  • The pour will begin at 5:30 a.m. and take approximately eight (8) hours to complete
  • Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

What to Expect

  • Expect delays while travelling through the intersection
  • 4+ concrete trucks are expected per hour
  • Concrete trucks will stage in the laydown area east of Allen Road South
  • Noise from construction equipment can be expected
  • Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place

Travelling Smart during Construction 

Travel delays are expected with the Crosstown construction. Please allow extra time for your journey. Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Crosstown construction. When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
