UPDATED: THESL Pole Relocation - Eglinton Avenue East between Ionview and Kennedy Road - October 6, 2020

Crews will be relocating Toronto Hydro-Electric System (THESL) poles to their permanent positions along Eglinton Avenue East between Ionview Road and Kennedy Road. Work will be completed in sections and is expected to begin October 6 through to early November 2020. All works are in support of the construction of the Crosstown LRT tracks and guideway (dedicated transit lane) in the centre of Eglinton Avenue East.

Noise from construction equipment and crews can be expected at the worksite. Temporary power outages (4-8 hours) will be required as this work progresses. A separate notification will be provided to affected addresses in advance of each outage.

HOURS OF WORK

• Work will begin October 6 and continue through to early November 2020.

• Work may occur from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., seven (7) days per week, Monday through Sunday.

• Work may be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

• Closure of the eastbound or westbound curb lane in between Ionview and Kennedy Road on Eglinton Ave E. 

PEDESTRIAN IMPACTS

• There will be no impacts to existing pedestrian routes. 

TTC IMPACTS

• All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations. 

OTHER IMPACTS

• Temporary power outages will be required at nearby addresses. A separate notification will be provided in advance of each outage.
