Concrete Pour at Allen Road and Eglinton Avenue West - August 20, 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Thursday August 20, 2020, crews will perform a concrete pour within the work zone south of TTC Eglinton West Station. The concrete will form one of the permanent structures of the future Cedarvale LRT Station.  To ensure the integrity and continuity of the pour, work will begin as early as 5:00 a.m. and take approximately eighteen (18) hours to complete. 

Two concrete pumps will be set up within the work zone. During the pour, concrete trucks will stage in the laydown area east of Allen Road South. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place. 

What to Expect

Noise from construction equipment and truck activity is expected during this work. Site lighting is required and will be positioned away from residential properties. 7+ concrete trucks are expected per hour. Expect delays when traveling through the intersection.

HOURS OF WORK

• As early as Thursday August 20, 2020
• Work is expected to start as early as 5:00 a.m. and will take approximately eighteen (18) hours to complete
• This work may be delayed due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS 

• No changes to the current pedestrian routing are expected as a result of this work

TRAFFIC DETAILS 

• No changes to the current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work
• Trucks will enter and exit the work zone from Allen Road South
• Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present, while this work takes place

TRANSIT INFORMATION

• The Eglinton West Station bus loop will remain closed while this work takes place
• Access to TTC will be maintained at all times
