Overnight Track Works on Eglinton Ave East between Birchmount and Kennedy Road - October 5-9, 2020

What Work is Taking Place?

Crews will be installing and performing welding activities on the LRT tracks within the guideway work zone on Eglinton Avenue East between Birchmount Road and Kennedy Road. Work will take place October 5-9, 2020 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 3:30 a.m.

What to Expect

Crews will use a welding truck, telehandler and hand tools for the installation and welding of LRT tracks. Minimal noise and lighting can be expected at the work zone for these activities. 

HOURS OF WORK

• Work will take place each night, October 5th – 9th 2020 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 3:30 a.m.

TRAFFIC & PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• There will be no changes to the existing traffic configuration for these activities. 

• There will be no changes to the existing pedestrian routes. 

TRANSIT DETAILS

• There will be no changes to existing TTC stop locations for this work  

OTHER INFORMATION 

• Minimal noise from construction vehicles and crews at the work zones can be expected.  

• Site lighting may be required.
