What Work is Taking Place?

On Thursday, March 11 and Friday, March 12, crews at Fairbank Station will be installing a watermain on Dufferin Street. Crews will be closing the southbound lane, followed by the northbound lane on Dufferin St, south of Eglinton Ave W. Work will begin as early as 7:00pm until as early as 6:00am. One lane on Dufferin St will remain open, and two-way traffic will be controlled by traffic control personnel and Paid Duty Officers.   

 

What to Expect

Traffic on Eglinton Ave W remains on the north side of Eglinton. South of Eglinton, traffic on Dufferin St will be reduced to one lane. There will be no changes to pedestrian routes. Access to business will be maintained.

 

HOURS OF WORK

  • Crews will be working overnight from as early as 7:00pm until 6:00am on Thursday, March 11 and Friday, March 12
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected

 

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Traffic on Dufferin St will be reduced to one lane for both north and southbound traffic, south of Eglinton Ave W. Two-way traffic will be controlled by traffic control personnel and Paid Duty Officers
  • Traffic on Eglinton Ave W remains the same
  • All turn restrictions will remain in place
  • Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W will remain open

 

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • No changes to crosswalks
  • All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations
