Pedestrian Route Change at Cedarvale Station July 9, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Tuesday July 27, 2021 a new pedestrian route will be implemented at Eglinton Avenue West and Allen Road to facilitate construction of Cedarvale Station’s Main Entrance. The sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West, between Park Hill Road and Allen Road South, will close. Pedestrians will be rerouted north around the Main Entrance site (see map for reference). This pedestrian route will remain in place for approximately six (6) months.

What to Expect

Fencing, filter cloth, and concrete barriers will be installed to delineate pedestrians from construction and street traffic. Periodic noise and lighting can be expected while the changes are being implemented. 

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Tuesday July 27, 2021
  • This route is expected to remain in place for approximately six (6) months
  • Overnight work may be required to implement the new pedestrian route
  • This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • No changes to the current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work
