Traffic Configuration Change at Cedarvale Station - July 30, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?
As early Friday July 30, 2021, a new traffic configuration will be implemented at Allen Road and Eglinton Avenue West. Traffic on Eglinton Avenue West, between Everden Road and Winnett Avenue, will shift to the north side and construction will move to the south side. This traffic configuration will remain in place for approximately six (6) months.
During this configuration, the traffic decking on the south side of Eglinton Avenue West will be removed to allow for Cedarvale Station roof construction and permanent utility installations to continue. Please review the complete notice for details.
What to Expect
Construction will be shifted to the south side of Eglinton Avenue West between Winnett Avenue and Everden Road. Activities will include traffic deck removal, rebar installation, formwork, concrete pours, and utility works. Noise from construction activity-including trucks, hammering, deliveries, and use of heavy equipment-can be expected. Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while the traffic changes are being implemented. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Friday July 30, 2021
- This configuration is expected to remain in place for approximately six (6) months
- Overnight work may be required to implement the new traffic configuration
- This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Traffic on Eglinton Avenue West, between Winnett Avenue and Everden Road, will shift to the north side
- One westbound lane and two eastbound lanes will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue West between Park Hill Road and Allen Road North
- The eastbound left turn will remain for TTC buses turning into Eglinton West Station
- The eastbound left turn lane will remain for vehicles turning onto Allen Road North
- Park Hill, Everden, and Strathearn Roads will remain closed
- The northbound left turn from Flanders Road to Eglinton Avenue West will remain prohibited
- The northbound left turn from Winnett Avenue to Eglinton Avenue West will remain prohibited
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- The sidewalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West, between Park Hill Road and Allen Road South, will be closed
- Pedestrians will be rerouted north around the Main Entrance site (see map for reference)
