What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Friday October 8, 2021, a new pedestrian route will be implemented at Eglinton Avenue West and Dufferin Street. The existing east sidewalk on Dufferin Street north of Eglinton Avenue West will be closed to facilitate permanent road and sidewalk restoration works. Pedestrians will be rerouted around the construction zone. This configuration is expected to remain in place for approximately two (2) weeks.

 

What to Expect

The existing north sidewalk on Dufferin Street north of Eglinton Avenue West will be closed to pedestrians. As a result, the pedestrian sidewalk will be rerouted around the construction zone on the east side of Dufferin Street. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Road restoration works will take place during this temporary sidewalk closure.

 

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Friday October 8, 2021, for approximately two (2) weeks.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • This work may be longer or shorter than expected. 

 

TRAFFIC DETAILS 

  • No changes to the current traffic routes as a result of this work.

 

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • The east sidewalk on Dufferin Street north of Eglinton Avenue West will be closed and rerouted.

 

TRANSIT INFORMATION

  • All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations.
