Lanes Shifting on Eglinton Avenue West for Phase Two of Milling Works - October 27, 2021

What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Wednesday October 27, 2021, crews will continue milling works on Eglinton Avenue West between Black Creek Drive and Bicknell Avenue.  To facilitate this work safely, eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will shift to the south side of the road and westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West shift to the north side of the road. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue West. This work is expected to take place on Monday - Friday between 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. for approximately three (3) days.  

 

What to Expect

Expect delays while travelling through the area. Noise from construction activities can be expected.  Traffic control personnel and/or a Paid Duty Officer will be present while this work takes place.

 

HOURS OF WORK

  • As early as Wednesday October 27, 2021, for approximately three (3) days.
  • This work is expected to take place on Monday - Friday between 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Work may take longer or shorter than expected.
  • Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstance.

 

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will shift to the south side of the road.
  • Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will shift to the north side of the road.
  • One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue West.
  • Northbound traffic on Black Creek Drive will be reinstated.

 

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • The east-west crosswalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West and Black Creek Drive will be reinstated.

 

TRANSIT INFORMATION

  • All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations.
