Traffic Configuration Change Between Weston Road and Black Creek Drive - November 11, 2021
What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Thursday November 11, 2021, a new traffic configuration will be implemented on Eglinton Avenue West between Weston Road and Black Creek Drive. Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will shift to the north side of the road, eastbound traffic will shift to the south side of the road, and construction will move to the centre lanes. One lane of through traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue West. This traffic configuration is expected to remain in place through January 2022.
What to Expect
Noise from construction activities can be expected. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection. Traffic control personnel and/or a paid duty officer will be present, while the traffic changes are being implemented.
HOURS OF WORK
- As early as Monday November 11, 2021, through January 2022.
- Overnight work may be required to implement the new configuration.
- Work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstance.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- Westbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will shift to the north side of the road.
- Eastbound traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will shift to the south side of the road.
- Construction will occupy the centre lanes on Eglinton Avenue West.
- One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue West.
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- The north-south crosswalk on the east side of Eglinton Avenue West and Weston Road will be closed for the duration of this work.
- The east-west crosswalk on the north side of Eglinton Avenue West and Black Creek Drive will be reinstated.
TRANSIT INFORMATION
- All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations.
