What Work is Taking Place?

Flanders Road will remain closed at Eglinton Avenue West through late June 2022 to accommodate road and sidewalk restoration works at Cedarvale Station. The closure will remain in place 24-hours a day, seven (7) days a week. Flanders Road will be converted to a two-way street between Eglinton Avenue West and Dewbourne Avenue, for the duration of the closure. What to Expect

No access to Eglinton Avenue West from Flanders Road. Flanders Road will remain open at Dewbourne Avenue for local traffic only. Noise from construction activities including concrete removals, asphalt milling, and pavingcan be expected. Excavators, trucks, and jackhammers will be required to complete the restoration works. Expect delays while travelling through the area.  Access to properties and driveways will be maintained.

HOURS OF WORK

  • The closure is expected to remain in place through late June 2022
  • The closure will remain in place 24-hours a day, seven (7) days a week.
  • Road and sidewalk restoration works are expected to take place between 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • The closure may be in place shorter or longer than expected.
  • This work may be rescheduled or delayed due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.

  • Flanders Road will be closed at Eglinton Avenue West.
  • Flanders Road will be converted to a two-way street between Eglinton Avenue West and Dewbourne Avenue.
  • Flanders Road will remain open at Dewbourne Avenue for local traffic only.
  • Access to properties and driveways will be maintained.

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

  • No changes to the current pedestrian routes are expected as a result of this work.
  • Short-term pedestrian rerouting may be required during sidewalk construction; advance signage will be installed to assist pedestrians navigating the area
