UPDATE: Sidewalk Restoration Work at Leaside Station - As early as Tuesday, October 11th, 2022
What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Tuesday, October 11th, 2022, crews at Leaside Station will perform sidewalk restoration work on the south side of Eglinton Avenue, west of Bayview Avenue. To facilitate this work safely, pedestrians will be diverted north around the area where the new sidewalk is being built. This work will take place between 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for approximately two (2) weeks. Access to businesses will be maintained.
What to Expect
Temporary pedestrian rerouting. Noise from construction equipment including jackhammers, saw cutters, concrete trucks, and hammers can be expected. Advance signage will be in place to direct pedestrians. The existing sidewalk will be removed and a new sidewalk will be constructed in its place.
HOURS OF WORK
• Starting as early as Tuesday, October 11th, 2022.
• This work will take between 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for approximately two (2) weeks.
• This work may be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances.
TRAFFIC DETAILS
• No changes to the current traffic configuration are expected as a result of this work.
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
• Temporary pedestrian rerouting will be implemented on the south side of Eglinton Avenue, west of Bayview Avenue.
• Pedestrians will be diverted north around the work area.
TTC IMPACTS
• Access to TTC will be maintained at all times.
