What Work is Taking Place?

Chaplin Crescent will remain closed north of Eglinton Avenue West through early December 2022 to facilitate permanent traffic signal installations works at the intersection. Eglinton Avenue West will remain open. Significant traffic changes will remain in effect. Please carefully read the details below

What to Expect

Chaplin Crescent will remain closed to vehicular traffic north of Eglinton Avenue West; emergency service vehicles excepted. East-west traffic on Eglinton Avenue West will be maintained. Local traffic access will be maintained.

Noise from construction activity, such as use of excavators and trucks, can be expected. Site lighting can also be expected.

HOURS OF WORK

• Chaplin Crescent will remain closed north of Eglinton Avenue West through early December 2022
• Construction activities will take place between 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday
• Chaplin Crescent will be closed on a 24-hour basis
• The closure duration may be longer or shorter than expected
• Construction may not take place each day of the closure period 

TRAFFIC DETAILS

• Chaplin Crescent will be closed north of Eglinton Avenue West. All turns and through traffic onto Chaplin Crescent north of Eglinton Avenue West will be restricted.
• Property access will be maintained

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS

• All crosswalks at the Chaplin-Eglinton intersection will be open
• The sidewalk west of the Main Entrance site will remain closed
• The sidewalk north of the Secondary Entrance site will remain closed
• All other sidewalks will be open

• TTC diversions will be in effect.
