Caledonia Water Main Work Continues – Traffic Shifted to Southside of Eglinton Avenue West
Work is Progressing
What: Crews are continuing relocation of various utilities in association of the Caledonia Station headwalls. Headwalls are underground support walls located at the east and west ends of the future station location.
Why: The headwalls of the future Caledonia Station are complete. Water main work will continue until mid-Fall 2014. A new traffic pattern will be set up to complete the water main work in the middle of the Eglinton roadway.
Where: The work zone is currently extended east of Gabian Way and west side of Croham Road along Eglinton Avenue West. The work zone is located to the north side of Eglinton Ave West. Barriers are used to separate the work zone from the traffic.
When: Starting as early September, crews will shift traffic lanes further to the south side of Eglinton Avenue West in order to perform and complete the water main work in the middle of the roadway. Some work may be rescheduled due to weather.
