What Work is Taking Place?
As early as Thursday, July 8, 2021, the sidewalk on the south side of Eglinton Ave W, west of
Dufferin St, will be temporarily closed in front of the Fairbank Station TPSS building. Pedestrians will be detoured through the laneway south of Eglinton Ave W. There will be no changes to crosswalks. This staging will remain in place for approximately three months.
What to Expect
Traffic on Dufferin St and Eglinton Ave W remains the same. Pedestrian access on the south side of Eglinton Ave W in front of the Fairbank Station TPSS building will be safely rerouted through the laneway south of Eglinton Ave W. Access to business will be maintained.
HOURS OF WORK
- This change will be implemented as early as Thursday, July 8, 2021
- This stage will remain in place for approximately three months
- The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion
- Work may be rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances
- This work may be longer or shorter than expected
TRAFFIC DETAILS
- No traffic impacts are associated with this work
PEDESTRIAN DETAILS
- The sidewalk in front of the Fairbank Station TPSS building will be closed. Access to businesses will be maintained.
- Pedestrians will be rerouted through the laneway south of Eglinton Ave W
- No changes to crosswalks
- All TTC bus stops will remain in their current locations
