Pedestrian Safety near Construction Sites
The tunnelled section between Brentcliffe Road and Black Creek Drive is complete, and last year, construction activities began at all 15 underground stations including Kennedy Station. The preparatory works at the at-grade portion of the line, between Brentcliffe Road and Kennedy Station, also started this summer. Since the end of school, many work zones have been set up for construction and some major intersections along Eglinton Avenue have changed.

Avenue Station Secondary Entrance Sound Wall

What Work is Happening?
Starting as early as Friday, August 11, work will begin to construct a sound barrier wall at the north side of the secondary entrance. This wall is engineered for maximum sound reduction and will be in place until construction of the station nears completion.

Overnight Preparatory Works for Sewer Lining at Avenue Station
In advance of upcoming mining works at Avenue Station, crews must install sewer linings to the existing sewer infrastructure in the vicinity of the station on Eglinton Avenue West between Braemar Avenue and Lascelles Boulevard. Work also includes one location at Avenue Road and Burnaby Boulevard, as well as one location on Highbourne Road and one on Oriole Parkway. Read more »
Overnight Watermain Investigations near Avenue Station
What Work is Happening?
To prepare for upcoming mining works at Avenue Station, a careful inspection of watermains in the area is required.
Crews will complete water leakage detection for the watermains in the vicinity of the future station box. The scope of work includes testing watermains and associated fittings on Eglinton Avenue West between Avenue Road and Lascelles Blvd. Read more »

Utilities and Site Service Connections at Avenue Station
Crews will complete works to connect water and sewer services at the main and secondary entrances and designated park area for Avenue Station. Crews are also performing hydro utility works in the designated park area to complete a temporary power connection. For the safety of the public and workers, temporary pedestrian and traffic changes will be in effect to accommodate this work. Work will occur in stages to minimize traffic disruptions. Read more »
