What Work is Happening?

Starting as early as Friday, August 11, work will begin to construct a sound barrier wall at the north side of the secondary entrance. This wall is engineered for maximum sound reduction and will be in place until construction of the station nears completion.

Hours of Work/ What to Expect

  • Work will commence as early as August 11, 2017* and last approximately three (3) weeks.
    * Timelines are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Work may occur between 7:00 am and 11:00 pm.
  • Building the wall requires crews and equipment on both sides of the wall. During works, crews will use the laneway behind the Secondary Entrance. 
  • Vehicles may continue to park in the laneway as usual. Access in and out of the laneway will be maintained; there may be a short delay while equipment is relocated.
  • Hydro-vacuuming and concrete pours are required for foundation work and will occur during the first week. 
  • A mobile crane will be used to erect the support beams and sound wall. 

 

Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

  • Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
  • Vehicles may continue to park in the laneway as usual. Access in and out of the laneway will be maintained; there may be a short delay while equipment is relocated.
