As part of the ongoing works on the West Portal & Elevated Guideway, over a two night period crews will be installing a duct bank across Black Creek Drive on October 12-14 and 19-21, 2018. Black Creek Drive southbound and northbound will be closed one at a time as follows to safely carry out the work: 

Black Creek Drive southbound will close on October 12th at 8pm until October 14th at approximately 5am.

Black Creek South Closure

Black Creek Drive northbound will close on October 19th at 8pm until October 21st at approximately 5am.

Black Creek North Closure

Hours of Work

  • Work will occur over two nights.
  • October 12th at 8pm until October 14th at approximately 5am
  •  October 19th at 8pm until October 21st at approximately 5am
  • Work may be rescheduled due to weather conditions of unforeseen circumstances.

What to Expect

  • Black Creek Drive southbound will close on October 12th at 8pm until October 14th at approximately 5am.
  • Black Creek Drive northbound will close on October 19th at 8pm until October 21st at approximately 5am.
  • The westbound TTC bus stop on Eglinton Avenue west of Black Creek will be out of service 8pm October 12th until October 14th at 5am.
  • Expect traffic delays in this area.

Pedestrian Impacts

  • The north-south pedestrian crosswalk on the west side of Black Creek Drive and Eglinton Avenue will close on October 12th at 8pm until October 14th at approximately 5am.
  • All other currently open sidewalks and crosswalks will be maintained during this work.

 

Travelling Smart during Construction

  • Travel delays are expected with construction. Please allow extra time for your journey.
  • Traffic will be extra heavy at peak periods during the Eglinton Crosstown LRT construction.
  • When possible, please travel during the off-peak period between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM
