What Work is Taking Place?

***CANCELLED*** Crews at Keelesdale Station will be performing a repair to the City’s watermain as early as Tuesday, July 28. In order to facilitate this work, water will be shut off for properties along Keele Street, south of Eglinton Avenue West, from as early as 9:00 a.m. for approximately six hours. Crews will turn water back on as soon as it is safe to do so. During this time, there will be no water available from the taps or toilets. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained. There will be no impacts to TTC bus service.

Residents are encouraged to store water for domestic use, ahead of the scheduled water shut off.

What to Expect

Water will be shut off to the following properties on both sides of Keele Street, south of Eglinton Avenue West: 1820 – 1854 Keele Street; 1947 – 1977 Keele Street.

 

HOURS OF WORK

  • Water will be shut off as early as Tuesday July 28 from 9:00am for approximately six hours.
  • Work may be delayed or extended due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. 
  • The contractor may not always work during the permitted hours but may do so at its discretion.
  • This work may take longer or shorter than expected.

 

TRAFFIC IMPACTS

  • All current traffic restrictions will remain in place.
