What Work is Taking Place?

As early as Monday, August 29, 2022, Latimer Avenue will be closed at Eglinton Avenue West to facilitate road and sidewalk restoration works. The closure will remain in place for approximately two (2) weeks. Pedestrians will be rerouted north around the work zone on Latimer Avenue.  

What to Expect

No vehicle access between Latimer Avenue and Eglinton Avenue West. Noise from construction activities including concrete removals, compacting, paving, hammering, and concrete pours can be expected. Access to Latimer Avenue will be maintained by Roselawn Avenue and Crestview Road. Expect delays while travelling through the intersection.

HOURS OF WORK

  • The closure will begin as early as Monday, August 29, 2022, and will remain in place for approximately two (2) weeks
  • The closure will be implemented on a 24-hour basis
  • This work may be delayed due to inclement weather and/or unforeseen circumstances

TRAFFIC DETAILS

  • Latimer Avenue will be closed at Eglinton Avenue West
  • One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained on Eglinton Avenue West and Chaplin Crescent

PEDESTRIAN DETAILS 

  • Pedestrians will be rerouted north around the work zone on Latimer Avenue

TRANSIT INFORMATION

  • Access to TTC will be maintained at all times
