What Work is Taking Place?

On Monday, July 22nd, crews will perform concrete pours at the main entrance station box of Fairbank Station. Work will begin as early as 7:00am and the pour will be ongoing for approximately 10 hours. The concrete will form walls in the station’s main entrance. Concrete pumps will be placed at Vaughan Road and within the Main Entrance work zone. Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West will remain open while work takes place.

Hours of Work

  • As early as Monday, July 22nd 2019 beginning at 7:00 a.m. for approximately 10 hours.

What to Expect

  • Increased truck traffic travelling through the area. 
  • In addition to construction activity, residents can expect to see equipment and material storage within designated work zones.
Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts
  • The pedestrian route on the west side of Dufferin will remain closed. The north, south, and east crosswalk will remain open. 
  • Access to properties along Vaughan Rd, Eglinton Ave W and Dufferin St will be maintained.
  • No impacts to TTC bus service.

TTC Impacts

  • TTC bus stops in the affected area may be relocated for the safety of transit riders.
  • Relocation and re-routing of bus stops and buses respectively, is done in consultation with TTC to ensure construction can continue safely while minimizing impact on the community and customers.
